Statutes and Regulations

{Statute Image}

The Child Day Care Licensing Program is governed by existing statutes and regulations.  These standards are implemented and enforced by the Department of Public Health and establish the minimum standards below which it is illegal to operate.

The statutory authority for the regulations is derived from Sections 19a-77 through 19-87e, 46b-120 and 17a-101 of the Connecticut General Statutes. Note: Statutes are revised to January 1 of odd numbered years and therefore should be read in conjunction with Public Acts that have been enacted into law but not codified into existing statutes.
